Kim founded Kimpacto in 2013 after many years in banking, investments, finance and education, and with a global perspective that we need greater access to capital, more inclusive training and development, and global transparency.
In March 2013, we were registered and incorporated as one of the first 'Benefit Corporations,' which is a US legal entity, following the great example of Patagonia. Later, in June 2013, we achieved the status as one of the first Certified B Corps (certified by B Lab), with only 200+ companies at this time. Today we operate independently in Spain, but continue to support the global community of over 8,000 Certified B Corps, plus other social impact initiatives and organizations globally. After more than a decade, Kimpacto continues to help mission-aligned organizations to improve their long-term profitability and sustainable growth. We work across global networks and regions to 'Create Sustainable Impact' by supporting a variety of environmental and social impact areas, for example, consumer goods or gender equality, and also sustainability laws and reporting frameworks, for example, the United Nations SDGs; GRI; SASB; and EU regulations (CSRD, ESRS). |
Kim is part of an expert sustainability group with the United Nations (UNECE) in Geneva, and works on projects with EFRAG (European commission) related to the EU sustainability laws (CSRD, ESRS).
Since 2012, Kim has been teaching courses related to Impact Investing, Social Impact Measurement, Social Entrepreneurship, Leadership (SDGs), Cross Cultural Management (DEI - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), and International Digital Business (Blockchain, Fin-Tech, ESG platforms). Kim Kastorff speaks English & Spanish and offers her global experience from living and working in Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the U.S. She has received a Bachelors in Finance (Wisconsin, U.S.), an MBA in Finance (Colorado, U.S.), and a Masters in Research - Impact Investing (ESADE - Barcelona, Spain). |
